Convergence
On August 22nd, 23,rd, and 24th Tibetan communities from around the United States will be converging in
New York and San Francisco for 3 days of historic protests. Help us conclude the Olympics with 3 days of protests China will never forget.

New York City Schedule:
- Friday August 22nd: Gather in Union Square (map) at 6:00pm for a high profile candle light vigil. There will also be a short screening of the newly filmed Tibetan documentary Leaving Fear Behind.
- Saturday August 23rd: Gather at the Chinese Consulate (map) at 10:00am. A “human chain” stretching from the Chinese Consulate to the United Nations will begin at 1:30pm.
- Sunday August 24th: Gather at the United Nations (map) at 11:00am. At 2:00pm the rally will march to the Chinese Consulate. At 3:30 speakers will address the gathering and at 6:00pm the Olympic flame will be ceremoniously extinguished and the flame Tibetan Independence will be lit.

San Francisco Convergence Schedule:
- Friday August 22nd: Gather the Chinese Consulate for a high profile protest beginning at 12:00pm . There will also be a candle light vigil in Berkley at 7:00pm.
- Saturday August 23rd: Gather for a Rangzen Rally/ Concert at Union Square beginning at 11:30am. There will be a march to City Hall at 1:30pm. March to Chinese Chinese Consulate at 3:00pm. There will also be a candle light vigil at Union Sq. at 7:00pm.
- Sunday August 24th: Gather for a protest at Chinese Consulate at 12pm. Gather for evening prayer, dinner at Oakland Harrison Church. 6-10pm
