August 10, 2008 · Print This Article
Two members of SFT-France, Guillaume and Antoine, rappelled off of the Debilly footbridge near the Eiffel Tower and the Chinese Embassy, and hung a banner reading “Tibet Libre, Free Tibet.” The climbers stayed suspended with the banner for nearly 45 minutes, while fellow activists up on the footbridge held Tibetan national flags and banners reading “One World, One Dream, Free Tibet.”
The demonstration was covered in media outlets including a popular radio station in France.
